When I bought my 2005 mcs, I found a drain kit. Replaced the plug with a nonremovable one that won't flow without the drain tube attached (from the kit) plus it has a hand tight cap over that. Works great. I think that I got it from those peppy boys or the zone where autos go 7 years ago.

So it's kinda like this fumoto but slightly different. Product name by chance? The only reason it's sounds different is because of the "hand tight cap over that"...... Kinda sounds a like a mundane step if these fumotos don't need these "caps".

Sounds like the Fram Sure Drain which was discontinued a while back but can still be found on ebay.

Craftsman makes a set of reverse grip sockets specifically for taking out stripped bolts. I actually had that same problem and it came right off.

So my last post to this thread is I'm buying a Fumoto! (Thanks to "learning something new every day" & of course all the fellow NAMer's). I occasionally do take my car to my local "Lube & Tire" shop (with my oil and filter of course), plus I'm one for always using torque wrenches. This will do nothing but ease my mind from others over-torquing the drain plug, and every time I do it myself, well just seems like the perfect set-up. Win-Win in my eyes.
