I dont really care for the sunroofs in my mini. Ive already blocked out the rear one with some black foam core; now i want to block off the front one (too much sun here in FL!)

so, i wanted to vinyl wrap the sunroof. I have 3 basic "options" as far as im concerned, and wanted y'alls opinions

please vote, and if you feel like it, give reasons why!

1. Matte black
2. Shiny black
3. Metallic black (most expensive, about $30 for what i need )

the other 2 i can get for around $15 total. BTW, i have an astro-black mini

IMO since the roof is already shiny black, make it shiny black also to blend in and not stand out.

 

I vote matte. not on your list, but carbon fibre might look good too.

 

Check the posts on members that tint sunroofs; I've never heard of wrapping but
I hope you don't blow up your sunroof by overheating it . . . . . . Please let us all know how it goes !

 

the issue with tinting is that the heat builds up between the tint and the glass, because the sun is allowed to go Through the glass first. with vinyl, the sun is reflected off the glass before going through it.

i was told by a guy who worked at Mini of orlando that vinyl wrap was allowed; tinting not! he had his sunroof vinyled.
