Fog light questions

I didn't have any luck finding these answers in my search, so here goes.
1. What size are the fog light holes?
2. Can they be wired just to the low beam lights as opposed to adding a switch and having to visit the dealer for the programming?

Just in case it matters, I have on 05 S.
Thanks in advance!

As far as the holes, don't know.
Yes you could wire them direct to the low beams, but you would have to use a relay, so that the low beam wire only activated them, not powered them.

In that case, you're saying I would power them just as any other fog light would be, I would just use the relay to allow the low beams to be the on/off "switch". Correct?

Why not just wire them correctly, off the parking light circuit, with a relay and switch, and use them as they are designed to be used, only in fog or heavy snow? Fogs are a wide, low, close range pattern, with a sharp cut off to allow continued driving in situations where normal lows produce excessive back scatter. And you don't want to be one of those inconsiderate drivers with fogs on all the time, causing road glare to the oncoming traffic, do you?
A complete guide to the Aiming and wiring of auxiliary lights is covered very well here, http://www.danielsternlighting.com/

Correct, the current to the low beams is not enough to run two pairs of lights without having issues at some time.
