He yelled, (all caps), THIS CAR IS SEAFROST.....no other reply.

While this is incredibly unimportant, I wanted to check with you guys again....any such thing as a Seafrost Green MINI? Maybe brought in from Canada, Mexico or
Iceland?......Repaint maybe? I was told by folks in an earlier post it was Silk Green which is what I told the seller. He doesn't believe me. Could he be right about the color?

I must clear this up.

It''s driving me nuts......OK, more nutty.

First off the color is Silk Green Metallic, and the MSRP of that 2003 MINI, brand new is $18,565.00. I don't know what he plans on selling it for but I hope this info helps. I work at a dealership and I was able to pull the vehicle service report on it.
Enjoy the info.

Looks like this was a re-paint. Jaguar colors include Saefrost Green. I would be interested (if I were considering buying it) why it had been re-painted. What kind of damage are they covering up? Seafrost green is also an old checy color - Chevelles, camaros and the like.

He must be using his Jaguar color chart. They make a Seafrost Green.

I saw that too and got a chuckle....too bad the embarrased idiot at the dealer couldn't just admit to the mistake and move on.

the name of the paint is on the car on the passenger side engine bay that you can see with the bonnet raised, you could pretend to be interested in the car, and ask the seller to take a pic of this to prove it wasn't repainted or something. I took a pic of mine to show you what it looks like. it kinda bugs me too how some people don't even try to get their info right.

in the description area it now says the exterior is Indi blue metallic, the seller needs to get his act together for sure.

Not so far as I can find with a quick search and perusing the MiniUSA site. I do note that the item description states that the exterior color is "Indi Blue Metallic", which is not what the pictures show. Maybe they painted it? It is a nice color...

I saw the listing as well... and since I am in Chicago I will try to check it out. I e-mailed the dealership. I will get them to read what the color tag says under the hood... if it is in fact "Indi Blue" as listed in their description it must be a re-paint. I cannot see the point of repainting the entire car that color, as it would be pretty cost prohibitive. I can see if it was not a factory color or something...

I e-mailed them again today and told them where to check for the color tag under the bonnet. They sent me a reply that said "Thank you" and nothing else. As for the Indy Blue in the description it's also been pointed out but all they will say is that the car is green.

Let me know what the reply to your e-mail is.

Thanks,

R.E.

It is most definitely "Silk Green"

Have him open the bonnet like the previous person said. . .

It is plainly Silk Green. The description says Indi Blue with Black Panther Leather. Obviously wrong on both counts. (at least they spelled "Indi" right) Just an example of a dealership throwing a listing together without proofreading it before posting. Nothing too underhanded there. Also a typical reply from one when questioned on their knowledge of the product.
Hey, WE all know what it is and what it isn't. Let the dealer go on. Let's just leave them alone in their ignorance/arrogance. And pity the poor sap who stumbles into that dealership and buys that car for the discounted, special, today only (let me check with the sales manager), $1000 off, price of $20,995.
Enjoy yours!
