VGS mod...now boost gauge doesn't work??? HELP

I just did the VGS mod...now my mechanical boost gauge isn't working right. I can FEEL the difference...but my mech gauge is laggy and tops out around 2 psi??? I checked my ultra gauge at the same time and saw 10+ so its not a leak. I'm so confused....

Figured this out...but now I have a boost leak. Ugh...

I'm going to reverse it tomorrow to see if it really is a boost leak or the gauge still acting up. Ugh. I got 10 building to 16psi before...now it starts at 7 and goes to 12...why me?!

Remember when I had issues.......It was the diaphragm leaking on the BPV under boost. Undo the mod and hopefully you don't have a vacuum leak now when its undone. For whatever reason my diaphragm would only leak when boosted but under vacuum it sealed up nicely. I ordered another BPV but it will sit on the shelf until needed. I found it by putting 5psi through the system with an air compressor and spraying with a soapy water bottle.

UPDATE: reversed the mod. Seeing 10 building to nearly 15 psi with 125* intake temps (car was sitting with a hot engine for a bit). Not a boost leak in the IC boots. Guess my car has a similar issue with the diaphram.

Glad you got it sorted out.
