I was cleaning my seats today and noticed a small tear starting around one of the cutouts in the leather of my rear seat for those little child-seat-latch-doors. The tear is small now but it's all the way through and I don't want to take the chance of it getting bigger; plus now when I look in the back seat I can see the white of the cushion against the panther leather. I've never had to deal with MINI warranty work before but I don't think I should have any problem as this is obviously a factory defect in the cut-out for the latch point. How's MINI warranty on "small" issues like this?

I've had major issues with my leather. The front driver seat has excessive wear. It is very wrinkled and is starting to crack! I felt like it was a defect but mini told me it was 'normal wear and tear'. This was when my mini was only 6 months old! My mini is over 1 and a half years old and it has become worse :sad: I took my back seats out because I've noticed they are becoming very wrinkled so I might as well take them out for now and prevent more wear. I take very good care of my leather also, I clean and condition them often.

I'm hoping they're easy to deal with. So far my leather's been acting normal, it sags a little in the drivers seat right after I get out, but then it usually goes back to normal after it sits for a while. I love the smell, look, and feel of leather; I just hope I don't have any major problems.

My dealer here in Manitoba,Canada has been very good to me.Ihave read some bad thngs about others though.I'am still using the be polite first approach,saving the :evil: :evil: :evil: if that starts to fail.
