One more for JCW. Sounds great, looks good. I'm going to go get the resonator removed sometime soon. Love that gurgle of the exhaust :D

Dowpipe option

Who makes a reasonably priced system with down pipe for the 1st gen supercharged models? Anyone know?

R53s don't have a down pipe like a turbo R56. Check out Scorpion exhaust and header as they are reasonably priced and sound good IMO.

If I where you I piece one together. You can piece one together for alot cheaper than you can buy a system for. With parts and paying someone to get it welded up.

Thought about doing the "one-ball" mod just for sound until I get the cash. How is scorpion vs. Invidia?

That day I saw you were working on your Springs. So you must not be with that chic, can I get her number? I told a buddy about her and he got excited about hot chic working on cars.

I love the one ball mod. just did it to our R53 and love it. gave extra volume and i swear a couple HP noticable down low. and a lot more burble.

sorry to ***** out my video but it and many others should convince you to spend $50 on a local shop doing it for you or doing it yourself cheaper if you can.

Hell, I am gonna throw in one more vote for Milltek. WMW just started selling the Stramospheres again, which is a less expensive version. Subtle for regular driving, no drone, sounds serious when you get over 3500 on the tach.

Loving my Milltek. Thought I'd lost some of the pop and burble when I had it installed, but actually it's come back with a vengeance. Think it just had to break in a little. Like tremperj said, anything over 3500 and it really sounds amazing, esp. in tunnels.

yes my vote is for milltek header and milltek exhaust system, it is a complete system without any issues. it is just a little louder under 3500 rpm but if you hit the pedal more you are just laughing, I installed it 5 months ago and I am still laughing

Who's got the best price in the US for the miltek. I've always wanted that above most systems.

I haven't heard the invidia on a R53 in person. Have heard it on a R56 and I wasn't really impressed. Too mellow for my taste. I have the scorpion on mine and am really pleased with it. It's a great sounding exhaust with no drone to it. It's reasonably priced and very well built. I can't figure out why it's not more popular? Maybe because there is only one vendor in the U.S.?

I have heard the Milltek in person and it does sound great. I just can't justify spending that kind of money on it.

I ordered the Stratmosphere from WMW a few days ago along with the DDMworks CAI, which are supposed to arrive tomorrow.

It's just too bad I'm working the next few days, so I'll have to wait until the weekend to put it on.

We are like minded. I feel the miltek is a want and not a need. I'm 24 years old and have a family to feed so I gotta go with best value. can't spend the big bucks and go on all the cruises like them retired guys can. Heheh

What part of my exhaust?
I have a RMW Stepped Race Header, Magnaflow cat, Jcw Resonator and Miltek Rear mufflers.
Sounds a bit like.....

Honestly... I did some browsing on some mini with aftermarket exhaust and I am completely sold on the Remus system. So throaty and beefy.
