R50/53 Supercharger Oil Change R52, R53
I've always thought that should I ever need a new supercharger, I'd simply design my own access to the oil at either end and modify the charger myself. With the right design, it should be easy enough to install two tubes with direct access to the bottom of the cambers where the gears and oil reside. Suction takes care of removal of the old oil and again, with the proper design, each end could have it's own dipstick for checking the level.
Maybe one of these days......

When I was living with my parents as a kid, I rebuilt a flathead Ford V8 in my bedroom. 'Use to sit on the block and grind the valves by hand while watching TV. Then, after I got out of the service, I rebuilt a Porsche motor for my VW bus in my bedroom. Of course, once I got married......

I started the build before I met my wife-to-be and finished it and put it in the bus while she was away with her parents on a trip. Never had babies. At first it was in the cards and then some years down the road she "fancied" someone else. Oh well. Still no kids and won't ever. I am the oldest of 12 kids so I've already changed more than my fair share of diapers.
Instead of hauling kids around in the bus, I used to chase Porsches with it up in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Great fun.
Maybe theirwebsite is under construction, or does not work on an android phone...
But only the top pic and the top bar works
...none of the subpages come up...edit...got the site working...
Interesting idea...but if the sc must be removed to install the kit (a proactive measure), doesnt that defet the longevity/timesaving of the kit?! If you hear symptoms of low oil...remove it and refil/overhaul....the seals are bad, and it should be overhauled even if caught before dammage...just adding oil to a leaky seal/gears is kinda crazy....
In any eventualility, good luck to the people/individuals starting up this product, for some it will be a good thing....
But trust me, Fix the photo ...homepage photo...
Get a gen1 sc mini on it...not a gen 2 cooper!?
When you add non gen1 parts..change it, but your flagship item is for a gen1....

I replaced my SC with a JCW over a month ago and only had 80K on the vehicle. The reason for replacement was the rear (water pump) end was making the typical diesel sound and had no oil. I wish I would have know about this product then and I would have snatched it up in a heartbeat. Perhaps when I change the oil in another 70K I will purchase this item and install.
It's not a bad product, based on what I've seen and read, but it doesn't go far enough, in my book. It would be more expensive and likely require some modification of the end covers, but I'd make it so you can actually check the oil level with a dipstick and make sure it's designed so that a suction hose can get to the very bottom of the cavity to suck all the old oil out. It sure would be nice to be able to check the oil level quickly and easily.
I'm thinking a front-0end removal every 70k is a good thing anyway, based on the number of "little things" you can check and replace while in there...
... and as I said that, I realized that, after 6 years, I'm still planning on having my MCS long enough to do a couple-three of those!

Thank you for the pictures but do you have the installation instructions that could expound on?
I am guessing this gets installed with the SC out of the car and then just reinstall.
does this just screw into the drain hole of the water pump side of the SC?

I was actually considering making something like this with transparent hydraulic line, LOL
Mine started making noise Dec 2011 when I tore mine down. I wasn't bone dry but low enough I couldn't get any out with anything I had. I added fluid, slapped it all back together and recently has started to make subtle sounds again. Topped the front side of last night and quieted down considerably, but I can still hear (with automotive stethoscope) that the rear will need some to prevent water pump failure... I know I'll be needing a new s/c soon, but am trying to extend the life of my M45 long enough until I can save up for the Sprintex... If I'm going to have to spend some money anyway so why not "Go big, or go home".
It was said the kit was under $300... Does anyone have a exact price?
