1.) Who likes the fog lights?
2.) After checking Ryephile's thread <The Yo-Yo Chronicles> I'm shocked that something like yo-yo exists... it sounds AWFUL if you are the unlucky recipient of the thing. Makes the car sound undependable and too experimental. How can BMW/Cooper let them out of the factory like that?

1. I got the fog lights, mostly because I wanted those holes in the front fascia filled in with lights, not black plastic. They're pretty useful in bad weather, though, and they help fill out the toggle bank.

2. The yo-yo does suck , bu it varies a lot from car to car. I have it, but it's barely noticable after teh car warms up.

Fogs are great in low visibility conditions.

I have an '02 and never had the yo yo, my car was perfect when I got it, but I was an idiot and jumped on the new software bandwagon a few weeks after I had it. Hello stumble... It's more or less like it's old self with v36 now though, which will be a moot point since I'm going GIAC when it becomes available.

Good things come to those that wait

X2

The MINI we were looking for was on the lot, minus a couple things we didn't need. I did want the fog lights though. So I went to the auto parts store and bought a couple sets of lights. I put one set in the bumper where the fogs go. The other set I put on the grill. All for about $70. And with a small amount of auto wiring experience, I installed it all just the way I wanted it. These don't look cheap or out of place compared to the factory lights, but there is a difference in the looks.

v36 Cured my stumble and yoyo issues. I got them to activate the rear fogs at the same time. I like having them and I like having 6 toggles even more.

>>WHAT'S GIAC?

It's an auto chip tuning company. They're currently working on a MINI chip.

Here's their website.

Careful, now- based on yesterday's runs through some severe snaky's I can tell you (and my wife's upset stomach will back me up) that it doesn't take an S to have fun. In fact, an S would have been hard pressed to go any faster through the switchbacks we were taking.

I also made a point in ordering the front fog lights for my '04 MCS. They work great, provide good illumination range ahead of the vehicle and provide you with extra safety and that all important extra toggle switch

My MCS has the standard halogen headlights, not the Xenons, so the fogs really compliment the headlights in very dark roads.

I don't have stumble or yo-yo. My '04 MCS with 5,300 miles has V36 installed.
