Hi All,

I am going to Germany for business trip. What kind of small unique things for MINI that I can bring back?

hey ultramini,

Germany is known for its Black Forest cuckoo clocks, so get one and put the grandfather cuckoo clock in the back seat and take him where-ever he wants.

As you pass thru the Frankfort Airport, visit the Dr Mueller Sex Shop. He has suitable blow-up dolls to occupy the passenger seat when you need to travel solo on HOV lanes on the freeway.

Try any of the BMW dealers while you are in Germany. They are very friendly people no matter where you are. The sales people don't treat you as a second-rate customer, you get the best service. Check out what they have in the way of interior/exterior mods that are not available in the states.
See if you can find a Mini to rent, then take it out on the autobon as see for yourself how it feels at 130mph+. Watch out while you are in the left passing lane that a BMW or Mercedes Benz doesn't come up on your tail. These drivers like MAXIMUM speeds.

I've lived here in Germany for the past 5 years and love it. Europe all together is so much more layed back than the states. There is so much to offer here.

Maybe a Euro plate if you want that look on your MINI. Or grab some German MINI brochers/booklets/pamphlets from a dealer. Or those little metal flag pieces that you can stick on someplace. Or those oval 'D' stickers that signify where you are from.
If you go for a rip down the AutoBahn, keep on eye out for areas of the strip that go from no speed limit to a speed limit. There's cameras set up there that'll nab ya if you're not paying attention.
Cheers,

The German's have now installed the cameras in the big signs throughout the country. Generally, the speed limit is not enforced out in the middle of nowhere, but watch it between villages. Normal speed limit throughout Germany on the autobons is 130 kph, or 81 mph.

It seems I live half my life in Hannover. It is a pretty cool town. It is the Convention Capital of Europe, or so they say. The airport is quite small and the flights seem to always be delayed. I don't remember a Mini dealership around there, but I could be mistaken. Brush up on your German too. Not so many people speak English or very good English in Hannover.
