Window problem question and yes I've searched!

Just picked up a 04 R53, bought it knowing the passenger window didn't work.
Past owner replaced motor and told me it must be something else.

All I hear is a "Click" traced it down to the relay in the BC1 Module.

The motor is good and does roll window up and down depending on the polarity I use from a 12 volt source. So know banging on the door for me, I did do it before I opened the door panel though.

Here's what I have done: door panel off checked for power at motor nothing.

Tapped on both relay's on the BC1 circuit board hoping one might be stuck.

I have disconnected the battery in hopes of resetting.

1: Do I need to get the window in the down position and then put power to
it to possibly reset it?

2: Or does it sound like I need a new BC1 Module and if so I've read conflicting statement's whether a "Used" one will work, If I find the exact replaced numbers and all (which I have), is it a plug and play or will or can I get it reprogrammed seeing it's used, or do I just need to get NEW?

I'm a recent member but have lurked for 1 year or so until I final got a mini and then signed up. I hate asking question's and sorry for the long draw out question..

I have heard that tapping on the door where the motor is makes it work. I had something like this happen to me yesterday actually, My window all of a sudden didnt roll down. I tried to tap on the door and no luck, I then got off and opened the door and slammed the door shut and worked. window working perfectly now.

can you swap relays and see if the problem follows the relay? (drivers side with passenger side)

Are they swappable? looked like they are hard soldered into the board. But i didn't look they closely...I will look when I get home..

The relays are soldered into the circuit board, does look like somebody has been in there and marked the bad relay.
I might try to get the relay and solder one in.
If I don't do this and find a "Exact" replacement module numbers and all does anybody know if it will be a plug and play? or is it dealer reprogram time?
