Cleaning water spots off of glass??

I've got a bunch of water spots on my sunroof, and side glass. Since they are tinted dark, it makes it show up even more. What's the best way to get the water spots off of the glass? Any cleaners that work? Or should I try some kind of rubbing compound?

If you look at the picture, right about the rear tire...you can see the hazy area on the glass where the sun in reflecting. I guess the previous owner never really dried it off after washing it...and just let it keep building up. The sunroof is really bad.

Any ideas?

Its hard water stains. Use CLR or Limeaway. Don't dump it as it might damage paint, use a small amount on a dry rag.

Have you tried clay barring the glass?

See my post above, it was moderated so it took forever to show up... a bit of CLR and it'll just wipe off.

I use a tablespoon of jet dry in the bucket of water I use to wash my car. Guess what? NO SPOTTING, not even on the paint

I use BonAmi powder, it's the only dry powder that won't scratch the glass. Follow up with a coat of Liquid Glass polish.
Anyway, that's how I do it. I have dark tinted windows as well.
