R53 DSC and sport package goes
Hello,
I was listening to an episode of "White Roof Radio" today and learned to my surprise that the Mini Cooper S models, at least some years, didn't come with sport suspension. Two weeks ago, I bought a 2003 R53 and from looking at http://www.automobilemag.com/am/99/2...s_options.html it doesn't appear that there was a separate sport suspension package offered for the S. Mine was made in 2002, so it would appear that it would have a slightly firmer suspension that the 2003's made after May or so.
The other question that I was was that this morning I looked down and saw that my DSC and tire pressure monitor lights were on steady. I turned off the car, pulled over, and walked around it to make sure that none of the tires were visibly low. Everything looked normal, so I got in and restarted the car. It was then that I noticed that there was a rolled up dish towel under the parking brake lever (I guess from my wife having used the car). I pulled it out and restarted the car and everything looked normal. It's possible that the dish towel was pressing down the tire pressure sensor's reset button, when the parking brake was fully released. Would holding down the reset button while driving the car cause these lights to come on?
Thanks,
Eric
