OK - who can top this!

36,000 km (about 22,000 mi.) on my 2003 MCS and major parts are being replaced under warranty!

The steering column and assembly, clutch and transmission are all going to be brand new!

And the weird thing is, except for a "clunking" in the steering ( particularly on cold days - and it gets cold in Toronto), an occasional "howl" from the clutch when starting off (again in cold weather), and a strange "ticking" sound from under the hood, there has been no indication or driver experience to tell me anything was failing!

My dealer (MINI Woodbridge, Toronto) said that the give-a-way about the clutch was it was stiff to push. I thought it was supposed to be like that, similar to a Porsche I've driven. The clue to the tranny apparently was that the "ticking" would stop when the clutch was depressed.

Some things for you to look forward to!
