Looking for a mcs auto for the wife found a 05 with 106 k for under 7k but it has a trans issue . It shifts up fine but when you lift off the gas it jumps out of gear and then you give it gas it slams back into gear seems more electrical .is this an expensive fix or a $100 sensor.posting from my phone so sorry about spelling and such.any ideas?

 

If it is the transmission it's like a $6000-8000 fix. These transmissions are generally not easily serviceable and are replaced rather than repaired.

 

Don't buy it you'll be in the hole before you finish the paper work.

 

OP states that this is an S not a Justa. Isn't the S automatic cheaper (cost of part wise) to replace and isn't it a better transmission to begin with?

With some DIY action and a few quid knocked off of the price this could be a good deal. Paying somebody to do it, maybe less so.
