hope all these numbers are calculated numbers and not by computer.

calculated numbers per tank , and how you drive in that tank. is the only way to track mpg.

i have stock r50, have been through 3 tanks since ownership. averaging 34.8 mpg. about 70% freeway, and shift/drive pretty normal in the city. costco 91octane

i track my stuff on fuelly.com

Still boggles my mind to read these and certainly reinforces that I must have a problem with my car that I still haven't solved. My R53 is almost exclusively a highway car now and I've been average 25 MPG. When I used to be mostly in the city I would get ~21 MPG. In my ownership in the last four years I've done the fuel filter, spark plugs, coil pack, plug wires, air filter (new airbox), injectors, bypass valve, PCV valve, blah blah blah. None of it helped this condition.

I am right there with you. I drive around 100 miles a day 90% being highway/ish, above 60 mph at the least. I get calculated 22 to 24 mpg. I have a bit of a heavy foot and get into it. I also have some bad compression that I am working on. I just id a big overhaul and it made the car drive so much better but my mileage has maintained. When I was reading 35 mpg my heart started to sink. I may try and run through a tank taking it pretty easy and Sunday driving to see how much is driver caused.
