On the main road I can get 37 if i get it under 3 grand on the tack... 34 to 35 at 65. this is of course with 91 Octane..

Uh... I think you can buy OEM mudflaps... may wanna look into that

I average 22 mpg in my 3-ish mile trip to work and everything else is just as close; with plenty of traffic lights.

On longer trips I can stay north of 30 mpg.

17% pulley, CAI and that's it.

I get about 27 mpg mixed, 30-32 (if lucky) hwy. 89 octane. 215 45 18 (a bit bigger than stock diameter, but speedo is still saying 60 when traveling 58-59. I go about 3-4% further than what the odo say I've gone

Just drove back from AMVIV in Las Vegas to our home in Ventura County and ran 372 miles on that tank after a day of driving around town. Not too bad for 165K, 15%, and JCW CAI and exhaust. And it stil feels as strong as ever.. Must be just getting broken in!

mpg mpg mpg

21 MPG. I redline and rev and cut off everybody on the highway while maintaining a healthy 85mph average for the past 5 years with a RX65 Radar. I redline it from stop lights when I am first after cutting everybody off in the city. I also redline it when it's too quiet.

When I turn off my car, I open the door, all I smell are burnt brakes. If I am lucky and it's winter time, I can actually see steam coming out from them. I use bridgestones that have lasted over 2 years with 50% tread left, and the same brake pads for the past 4 years.

Ported Super Charger
K&N Panel Intake
RevMax Transmission ValveBody
Drilled Vented coated rotors
Metallic Hawk Brake Pads
Super Blue ATE Brake Fluid

When car was stock, I'd average around 25, up to 32 on hwy. After RMW tune average 27-29 mpg and up to 40 hwy. Last tank found some 100% gasoline and my average shot up to 31.

Sometimes mine is more off that that. Last week my gauge was saying 32mpg, but when I filled back up and actually calculated the fuel/miles I was actually getting 27mpg.

The best I have ever gotten was around 28mph on the highway on a long road trip. I think the DT BPV kills a few MPG (comes into boost with less engine load), and also the 215 tires hurt the MPG a little too.

My gauge reads 26.7 with careful driving after adding a 15% pulley and a CAI. I used to get 29 or so without even trying to drive economically. Would a new fuel filter help improve MPG? I think I'm due for a new one anyway.

In the short term, new fuel filter might actually lower gas mileage, since fuel can get the injectors more easily, so the mix might be a tad on the rich side. I believe the onboard computer would eventually adjust to the change though. It's still good regular maintenance. You won't believe how black the filter is when you take it out.

Also, for anyone curious about gas mileage stats - check out fuelly.com. I recently started tracking MPG for my cars there, and it's easy to see what others with your car are getting.

Just finished my '02 R53 project, and looking at this thread I don't guess I'll save any money when I drive it to work (I have a 100 mile round trip 3-4 days a week, mostly highway). Last year I bought a '12 Dodge Charger with a V6 and 8-speed. I can get 29 mpg with it, driving 70, going up and down hills. 24 mpg mixed normal driving, 22 mpg if I get the lead foot out. Give me a level stretch of road, and I get 33 mpg. And that's using 87 octane. It only turns 1,400 rpm at 70 mph in 8th gear.

I'm still gonna drive it to work 2 or 3 days a week just to keep the miles off of my Charger. Can't wait to hit the road in it!

Completely city driving and 0 highway on my daily commute, consumption is 9.7l/100km and if fill the tank, I get around 230miles till I fill again. Havnt been driving much since I'm on holiday from university. So the last I filled was 20 days ago. Is it not normal that a car can be in 5th or 6th gear doing 40 km/h ? My friend was surprised at this.

In a mix of city and highway driving (mostly city), we have consistently had 26 MPG which is, coincidentally, the same as our average speed.

In the short period I've been driving this car, I've been getting around ~26 mpg @ 27mph average. I drive almost exclusively in the city though.

Highway, I'm getting around 35, but I only have a couple hundred miles of data.

My daily commute is about 85% freeway. According to my on board computer, I get 26 - 28 mpg for the tank of gas. I normally accelerate hard on the on ramp (shifting at about 5000 rpm), then cruise at about 70 - 75 mph in the right lane.

On a highway road trip, I'll see 30 - 32 mpg cruising 75 - 80 mph.
