Attended the North American Auto Show in Detroit and spotted the new BBS R91's on a full tilt MCS with the Cooper Works pkg. The wheels look great, but according to the options list next the car, they will cost $2,995.00!!!! Too much money for my blood. Oh yeah, received a cool MINI pin for answering a survey! Motor on! Only 3 months until my Pure Silver/Sliver roof MC, all 3 pkgs, Xenons, rear fogs, HK sound. Spring will be great!

just to confirm - the R91's are the 18" "JCW" wheels?
They look nice in person - though the price was not as nice. They had that JCW car stuffed in the back of the exhibit, like they were trying to hide it

The R91 comes in 17" size

To see all three go to-
http://www.bridger.us/mini/?Y=2003&M...ComingFromMINI
http://www.bridger.us/mini/?Y=2003&M...ewWheelDesigns
The others are R92 and R93.
Not sure on the sizes available for each one.

The JCW 18"wheel is completely different in design.

The normal R90's run about $1590 as I recall

I've seen the dealer lists for the JCW 18" wheels (which are not the R91s that come out next year) and they have a dealer price of $250 each. I believe they retail for 360 or 380 (I can't quite remember the exact figure). The person I spoke with didn't believe they were officially available in the US yet but they should be able to be ordered from the UK/EU or Canada.

Of course the R91s that you see on my site will be available later this year on '05 models. R91s are 17" wheels and should be comparible in price to the slites (or so I've been informed).

Gabe,

Just wondering when you see us being able to order the R91's here or how much it would be to get them from Europe??

Well from my knowledge it'll be a factory spec wheel begining in the '05 model year. Based on that I'd guess that they'd be available to be ordered sometime late next summer/early fall.

Interesting indeed, if it means that MINI's going to be offering a factory alternative to runflats??

I gotta wait for the 2005's, and have seen plenty of anti-runflat opinions here.

thanks,
Tatt

This doesn't mean that they won't come with runflats
