What is this... the Dark plastic wheel wells have the white wax on them where I missed and touched it with the pad!! BUMMER... Hey this isnt FUN any more.. look at all this black rubber and plastic... whoa.. oops.. oops Again..

Bummer HUH!! Well the bud of mine has a Focus SVT ( nope not yet... but we will!! LOL) He comes over and sees the problem and says it is the wrong wax!! I need a clear drying wax!! WHAT??.. Oh yeah , and he puts some of his wax on, and bumps the wheel wells on pourpose!! then wipes it off!! NO WHITE STUFF!! OMG.. what is that stuff?? He says there are different brands out there but he uses "Super Glaze" by the Wax Shop!! I went to PepBoys and got some!! AHH the joy of waxing the Mini , is back!!

Hope this helps...

Just me........................

If you would just pick up Eagle One Wet Wax As U Dry at Pep Boys you wouldn't have any white wax on the black plastic. All your waxing and messing around with fixes to your screw-ups would be things of the past if you would just try my advice once, I guarantee you won't mess around with paste wax ever again! So there!!!!

Zaino Bros. Once you use it you will NEVER use that paste stuff again. You can even apply it in direct sunlight.

So far, I have to agree with ByeBye. Based on what I had previously read in this forum, I ordered Z1 and Z2 from Zaino Bros. web site. I used it yesterday and got a
beautiful shine with no mess or residue. Zaino claims it "will outlast any product in
the industry". We'll see.

Zaino is great for optimal clarity and no powder residue to dust off, BUT it does nothing to tiny scratches or residual water spot outlines. Turle Wax clear coat car polish in the green tub still works best to work out those imperfections, then use Zaino #2 over that area. Plus, with Zaino, you can leave it for overnight if you want- there's no rush to apply and remove polish in small sections. Do the whole car at once! I just did my roof flag last night- awesome stuff. You can mask off your plastic trim before waxing (use painter's blue masking tape) or just be super careful.

I did the same thing with my buffer. I bought back to black. I still have to apply it. As soon as I do I will let you know how it worked. I figure if the company is located in Huntington Beach were I grew up they'd know how to create a product that will bring it back to black.

I applied a THIRD coat of Zaino's Z2 polish and true to the literature, the result was
astounding......lustre and clarity that is unbelievable. It highlights the first rate paints that BMW has used with Mini. I rubbed Armor-all protectant into the plastic strips over the wheels and black parts of the bumpers where I had used polish...... has them looking as good as new. Also applied Griot's leather conditioner to the seats with mighty fine results. These car care efforts were gleaned from suggestions others have contributed to this forum and it is greatly appreciated.
