when it was built 3 weeks ago?. I'm starting to get irritated. There
is a really sharp looking GTI and Focus SVT at the dealers around the
corner from my house.

But they're no MINI. Hang in there, it's going to be here soon and it will have been worth the wait.

Oh man. I drove myself nuts watching to see when my MINI made the boat.
Remember that the O.L. data will lag reality by up to a week. My MINI was a day away from arrival in the U.S. before the O.L. said that it was on the boat.
Patience.

Have you tried tracking it through this site? All you need is your VIN #. Click on "Auto" and enter the VIN as teh Cargo ID. The info you find there will be much more accurate than the official MINI OL.

The Owner's Lounge still says my MINI is awaiting transport (MINI's automated phone reponse says the same)
but WW cargo tracking says it has already been loaded and has set sail.

WW is pretty much real-time info -- you're hooked right into their database, which is updated via scanners at their facilities. The Owner's Lounge is updated manually and lags behind. So you're en route.
As for eying that Focus... I just drove one for a week while awaiting my MINI's return from the body shop (don't ask)... trust me... you want the MINI.
