Well, it looks like Bob Smith Mini is FINALLY open in Calabasas, Ca. Has anyone dealt with them yet?? Any advice?? I live in Oxnard, so I am only 30 miles from them and really don't want to drive all the way to Long Beach (the only dealership that I would deal with).

There is no feedback in the Dealer Rating System yet, that is why I am posting here.

Thanks

Where are they? on the 101 by Volvo and Benz?

nlsmini Jan 9, 2004 09:06 AM

yep, they are just west of the volvo dealer right next to the acura dealer.

I purchased a car from them and had a good experience overall. I'm working on a write up for the Dealer Rating system that I hope to post soon.

When you get there, the MINI showroom is on the left side of the new building, and the main show room is BMW (still under construction when I went).

This is where I plan to take my MINI for service because I live in Santa Barbara and bought my MINI from Texas. I am glad to see they opened on time and I hope they don't suck.

I am also excited about getting a chilli burger at the 'Munch Box' which I believe is right down the street. Huel Howser did a segment on this place and boy does it look good, nothing Mini about those burgers!

Munch Box? Never heard of it. Sounds like a great cholesterol adventure. Hope their service department is better than Universal's (which of course is only 5 minutes from my home.)

When I heard Bob Smith was getting a MINI franchise, I thought it was going to be part of the BMW dealership on Topanga Canyon Blvd. in Canoga Park...that would have been sweet to cruise your MINI from the dealership down the street to Tommy's for a double chili cheeseburger. God I miss L.A......

Good evening, just got back from a drive and stopped by Bob Smith Mini.
the facility is going to be real nice when their done.but to the bread & butter
of the dealership.$3,000 over MSRP! I don't know about you but that's
money i would put towards upgrades.Look in the dealer rating system for
a dealer that's selling at msrp. Good Luck.nlsmini

With any luck I'll get the V36 software update there tomorrow, I'll let you guys know how it goes.

$3k over MSRP is no way to gain friends! Order from the East Coast and just use their service bays!

But their facility is sure to be a winner.
