>>Yeah it is kinda well known and yes us brits do seem to leave the keys near the front door...dont ask why. Me personally i blame it purely on alcohol as when im soaber the keys always make it to my room. Its just the first thing you see when u walk in the door when youve been at the pub all night and you just drop your keeys in it!
>>There isnt more to the story than what ive told....what do you think im hiding? Now im curious lol
>>Yeah hopefully the insurance are going to cover it....im just gonna lose the money i payed for the wheels and cd's etc. and the excess for the insurance. So fingers crossed ill have a mini back on my drive asap!!

112,
So sorry to read about this. You need a really big dog with a ferocious bite that will snap off the tip of that rod with the magnet at it's end when it comes popping through that letterbox. Sort of a Sharkdog. No bark needed but bite that rod and snap off the tip. I bet the would be thieves would then mess their pants if that happened.

Makes you want to set the alarm(Home and car) and apply a brake lock to the brake pedal. The other deterent to thieves to remove something from the car that would essentially disable it like pulling out the ECU plug or something.

Seems like alot of trouble to keep bad guys away. Maybe the police will find some of your stolen goods.
.0 2ishing you a better week.

Sorry, man, that's terrible! Hope your insurance totals it, and you can get into a new car ASAP! What a nightmare.

I feel your pain. On either Sunday nite or early Monday morning while we slept, some little scumbag walked into our garage, through the side yard gate and through the side door of the garage and stole my daughters mini. Not a Mini Cooper but her Honda XR 50 mini bike. It had the big bar kit and seat/tank lift kit on it. $1600.00 down the drain. Homeowners dosen't cover "motorized land vessels". The thing was less than a year old and we'll never see it again.

I fired the dogs.

Well, since we're off the MINI subject. But while rory's minibike was being stolen on Sunday, a couple of theives snuck off with two complete new a/c assemblies from a house we're buliding. $4K+ gone and completion of building pushed another week off while the insurance company has a go at it.

MINI has been OK so far.

I should add that the suckers were bolted to concrete pads AND cross strapped with 2" steel straps. They still took 'em. Goes to show, if someone wants them........

Sorry to hear about your MINI, Dude.

I really detest thieves. Has anyone ever had a van pull up and tell you what a great deal you can get on stuff that they haven't delivered yet? I never buy anything that could be "hot" as I don't want anyone stealing my stuff to populate this type of black market. I am sorry about your loss. I do hope they catch the ******* that did this.
