I know about the oil change but do they do anything else other than reset the mileage? The reason I ask is because I just installed a Pilo intake and I don't believe my air filter has been replaced. I wouldn't think Mini would make such a big deal about free service just for an oil change. I've never found what the service involved and was hoping some that have had their first service could answer the question.

Thanks.

1st service (10k/11k) is just an oil change and fixing anything you need fixed. It's also a good opportunity to have key features programed (window roll down for instance).

2nd service (~27k) is an oil change and they change the pollen filter.

The oil/filter change is covered and mileage will vary from 10,000 to 12,000 miles. But fluids and other things are likely to be checked. If warranty work needs be done it is a good time to do it as mentioned.

Each MINI will vary but the other things to do include rotating wheels every 5000 miles- they charge at the dealership. Air filters can be changed every 10-12K miles but it depends on where you drive. Even with the cold air intakes added the filter needs cleaning and re-oiling every 10-12K miles.

If you belong to Costco-they can do the tire rotation for free but they will charge for balancing the front wheels.

Thanks all. Actually, they did change the microfilter. I was just suprised that the intake air filter wasn't changed. Thats a normal 10k thing to do. I'm glad I installed the Pilo as I assumed the air filter had been replaced because the invoice mentioned two filters. After a search for the part numbers I then found out it was the microfilter.

Thanks again. It's not a problem, just curious.
