Did everyone get the $25.00 t-shirt when they picked up their MINI? The dealer told me that each shirt was numbered and that no two shirts where the same. I was wonder if this was true or just a way to charge $25.00 for a t-shirt.

My shirt number is 0000036

NW Mini No.46
(you didn't pay for yours, did you?)

Mini-Matt Oct 1, 2002 01:15 PM

The $25 charge was a line item on my invoice from the dealer. I financed mine thorough an outside bank so they wanted to see every charge to the penny.

Allybrit Oct 1, 2002 01:21 PM

I understood that was something you got from MINI free of charge after you picked up your car......in some sort of package which contained other goodies.....

Mach5MINI Oct 1, 2002 01:26 PM

I was #253 at Cincinnati MINI on Sept 18. There was no charge for the shirt. I understand that each dealer got 300 numbered shirts.

C4 Oct 1, 2002 01:28 PM

When we picked up our MINI, the dealer gave us 2 shirts (One for me and another one for my wife). We also had the choice of a MINI cap or hat, but much prefer the shirts. My wife got a nice "Day Trip Shirt" (Retails for $45) and I got the "ThirtySeven T" that retails for about $24. So $69 worth of free perks was not bad at all.

I received shirt number 139. I was told by my dealer that they will give a numbered shirt for the first 300 Mini's sold there. No charge for the shirt by the way.

I didn't get a shirt. :???:

#141. My dealer charges $50 for them (even though they are supposed to be free for the first 300 sold)!!

FatBob Oct 1, 2002 02:16 PM

Number 172 in Scottsdale. I did'nt read the tag right away and had no idea what the number was about. Without the context the shirt seemed really stupid. I put mine in the drawer and will keep it with the MINI.

Think I've got a shot? My MINI (from Cincinnati MINI) build date is 10.18. Hope I get delivery before they run out of shirts. Would it be really valuable if I get shirt #300?

Mini-Matt Oct 1, 2002 03:18 PM

Chef - I also got mine from Roadshow -did they charge you for the shirt?

Thechandler81 Oct 1, 2002 03:26 PM

im number 64, the shirt came with the mini car package, messaging kit, pen, journal, games, and notepad., fun stuff

duckboy74 Oct 1, 2002 03:36 PM

#265 from MINI of Peabody here. All I got was the shirt, no other goodies, but
the one Dark Silver goodie waiting in the showroom was more than enough to
make me happy.

I was #92 from New Country Motors in Hartford. The shirt was free. Not all dealers are partisipating, some are just trying to make an extra buck.

Each shirt is unique since the there are only 300 numbers per dealer and the dealers name is on the back

well sh*t. you were robbed.
I'm 209 from Crevier Santa Ana, no photo w/my car either.

shirt was *free* but it is a size XL and I won't wear it, it's all nicely sealed up in the plastic. I'd prefer a different woman's sized shirt. I have two t's from the motoring gear catalog already - speedometer and MINI baby-T. I wrote to MINI USA and complained about the XL size and no response yet.

people had to pay for their free shirt? I'd be giving the dealership and MINI USA a call, talk about cheap!! *&#@%

If your car is built on 10.18 you probably won't take delivery for another 4 weeks after that, and they are delivering a lot of cars there. Good luck though!!

No shirt...guess that makes me topless!

gobsmaked Oct 1, 2002 04:28 PM

I'm topless with a hat, they didn't offer up a t-shirt only a cap. Now being topless in my twenties, that wouldn't be as bad as now in my mid thirties. Man, you don't want to see me topless today! Maybe if I got my but up out of the car I would exercise and loose a few pounds but if I am so compulsive that I am in my car or on this site I can't see how I'd get over to the gym. :???:  Man I need to do something about that.

#65. About a month later I recieved the log book, flash cards, pen, etc.... in the mail. No charge. Then last Saturday I recieved a Mini hat and the curvey road shirt in the mail from BMW that I didn't order. I thought I was cleaning up on the free goods until the wifie informed me she got me the hat and shirt as part of my anniversary gift. Opps, anniversary is tomorrow. She was a little peeved that I got to the boxes first  .

Mini-Matt Oct 1, 2002 06:13 PM

I got the Mini package about 45 days after taking delivery of my MCS. The package had the pen, journal and games. I'd like to see a hat and another t-shirt in the near future. I've left my "odometer" shirt in the bag.
