R50/53 What happens if I put 114 octane in my Mini?

BECAUSE it is resistant to detonation. All because I did not mention every possible cause of knock how is what I said regarding how higher octane fuels resist know incorrect? Moreover, when you have a car with high levels of knock running on fuel it is in fact designed for thus indicating a problem -although running a higher octane might fix the knock problem it does not fix the issue with the engine merely hide it.
