R50/53 Another Classic MINI Group Purchase. Looking for partners f
On November 8th, Classic MINI in Ohio delivered 7 MCS to California buyers via a Concours Transport Systems enclosed transporter to San Jose, CA. When my mother in law saw my wife’s CR/W Mini S she just had to have a Cooper (with a CVT) so now we’ve got a 3rd MINI from Classic due in late January/early February.
I’m looking for California or West Coast buyers who are interested in shipping their cars with a reliable company to help reduce the cost. Based upon our first experience with Concours, I want to stay with them because of their level of service and cost.
The buying situation in California is not going to change as MINI Dealers continue to charge $1,000 over MSRP for a Cooper and $2,500 over for a Cooper S; or they’ve pre-sold their future allocations so you have to wait 6 to 8 months for your MINI. To save a minimum of $1,000 on an S, and get your car in 8 to 10 weeks, you need to look outside CA. The last time we did this, no one knew each other beforehand. We all met through posts on MCO (now NAM)!
Classic MINI proved they could handle our needs, and the bonus was being able to buy parts and accessories at 20% off MSRP, plus no sales tax or shipping as they were delivered outside Ohio with the cars.
If you are interested in buying a MCS or MC outside CA, then PM me, or email me at carolla@scu.edu. Better yet, call our MA Julie Saxa at Classic, 440 266-6700. Or speak to Fred at http://www.concourstransport.com

I just got off the phone with Julie and will finishing up the details on our new Mini today. She's been very helpful and really great to work with. The shipper that Charlie has arrainged sounds like a class act, and I have faith that my car will get here ok. Julie said when they picked up the previous group of cars the guys were very meticulous and took alot of time in loading them up right.
Apperantly they have maybe 1 or 2 more MCSs that they can customize on this order. She said she can probably take orders through tomorrow, but after that might be too late.
If we don't change out mind within the next 30 minutes, we're going to get a Black/Black MCS w/the 3 packages and HK.
