R50/53 Help. Im a noobie!
Help. Im a noobie!
Going to be straight foward. I've always been a BMW guy. My first car was a 1999 M3. I loved that car and still do today, however, I had the misfortunate event of going into a tire-wall coming out of turn 6 at Road Atlanta during a BMWCCA event.
Now I find myself without a performance based, corner hugging car, and I find myself even more very fond of the R53 MCS. I'm still in the process of finding an 05 - 06 for a good deal.
My main question/statement is that the first thing I will do to the car is put a 15% reduction pulley on the supercharger. Thought about going higher, but for the track I believe it will overheat. However I think I want more boost, but if I go any smaller, say to the 19% reduction pulley, I loose too much traction on the belt due to less surface area touching the belt. So should I get a bigger Crankshaft pulley, and with much more boost, I believe I do need a bigger intercooler? Please someone with much experience in this area help me out. Or should I go introduce myself to Waylen?
