Irvine Mini near Los Angeles does. So far I have had the car for a week and half, while they still try to repair the NAV system. By the time they finish it will be two weeks.

Funny, I told him (the sales guy) about this thread and he said "I said No dealers provide Mini's as loaners" I said well, it looks like some even provide Mini's -silence-
I craked up, even though I was on the phone I could hear him back peddling

Not only does MINI of the Hamptons provide loaners, they have a free pick up and delivery service that I have taken advantage of (even if it just an oil change). THey were going to drive it, but I said I did not need the loaner, so they honored my request and flat bedded it.

There were two dealers closer, but they were far better before the sale, and it appears, after as well.

Regards,
Red

Funny that this thread pops up now. I just emailed my MA a couple days ago and his response is that they may be able to arrange a loaner, depending on the severity of the case. My dealer, Patrick MINI in Schaumburg, IL, is 200 miles from home...must decidedly outside of the shuttle radius...lol

Hi all. When my steering rack needed to be replaced, MINI of Towson provided me with a MC loaner. And I was able to pick up my MINI the next day. I was surprised that they were able to get to my car that quickly. On the other hand, when my MINI needed his windshield replaced (those darn stress cracks...), they gave me a Neon

I recently had my MINI serviced by Westchester MINI in Elmsford, NY. I dropped it off in the morning, and my service writer said they could provide a rental if I needed one in case they needed the car overnight. They ended up ordering parts (steering wheel and seat cushion), and gave me the rental for a few days while waiting for the parts to come in. I was very pleased considering they didn't offer me that option last time they had my car.

I got a call this week that MAG in Columbus has now put 4 Mini's in service for loaners. I have to give them credit for taking care of their customers.

MINI North Scottsdale provides a free loner car (not a MINI though). All you do is pay a nominal $5.00 per day for gas. You can bring it back empty and the $5.00 you prepaid covers it.

Tate MINI in Annapolis, MD does not provide loaners, regardless of whether it is or isn't warranty work. I sat there one day in the service department and not 20 seconds after I was told this the guy dropping off his BMW at the next desk (5 feet away) was handed keys to a 3-series. There were 3 others parked outside marked as loaners but I couldn't get one.

regarding your loaner car: did you purchase your car from crevier? what about irvine mini? did you also buy your car from them? i have noticed a difference in service if you have not bought your car at the dealership. i did not want to buy the mark up so i bought my mcs out of state.
I did purchase my MINI from Crevier. But, I don't know what their loaner policy is for service customers that did not purchase from them.

Kurvhugr, that sounds familiar. I had Alice at Desert MINI for the leaking coolant bottle to be replaced. When I booked it in, I asked about a loaner and was told that no MINI dealerships are doing loaners. I told the service manager that I knew of several for a fact that DO give loaners. He asked me if I bought the car there (I did, though I wouldn't again) and suggested I talk to my MA.
Talked to George who promised me that if they couldn't do it while I waited, he'd arrange a loaner for me. I get there for my appointment, no loaner, no chance of waiting for the car, "It's more than a 5 minute job, we have to pressure test the system". George didn't even show up. Eventually got back to work on their shuttle after doing a tour of the other side of Las Vegas. They are 10-15 mins away from my office, and I was gone almost 2 hours. No pickup in the afternoon, I had to get my wife to take me up there.
But while I was looking for George, I saw 2 BMW drivers get handed loaner keys. Pissed me off no end!

When I bought my car from East Bay MINI in CA, I had to sign something that said that they don't provide loaners. Ba-humbug. I will be mostly getting service from Niello in Sac though. Anyone know if they will provide loaners to people who didn't buy the car there?

Ralph Schomp in Colorado provides loaner vehicles. The first time I got a BMW 325 I and the second time I needed one I got a MINI CVT.

Checkered Flag MINI of Virginia Beach VA, provides MINI loaners while you get service work done. If they are out ot the MINI's, They will rent you one for as long as you need it.

Hey, for those of you who bought your cars somewhere else from where you have it serviced.....does your servicing MINI dealership provide you a loaner? Or do they deny you since you didn't buy your car from them?

I bought my car at East Bay MINI but will be having it serviced at Niello in Sacramento. East Bay MINI doesn't provide loaners anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter all that much.

I bought my car at Hassel in NY, since I live in CT, I go to New Country MINI in Hartford, I have no problems getting a loaner if one if needed, my experience with them has been all good, they seem to treat all of their customers with the same level of courtesy, BMW or MINI.

Maybe I should change this to "I will believe it when I see it". Mini in for service yesterday and no loaners to be found...

I went the other way - bought my MCS from Niello and have it serviced at Mt. View. I had my first scheduled service done at Niello and they gave me a loaner. I had other warranty work done at Mt. View and they have given me a loaner.
I did not request a loaner for my second scheduled service. I took the shuttle from Mt. View to work in San Jose and had a friend drop me off to pick the car up when it was done.

>>Crevier MINI in SoCal gives BMW loaners out (up to 2 per year) when needed for extended service visits. right now I'm tooling around in a 330i while getting ECU reprogrammed among other things.

But they will not provide a loaner OR wash your car if you bought your MIINI from another dealership, as I did.

This is true. Don't worry, you aren't missing much by not getting a free car wash from these guys, they do a horrible job!

Brecht MINI in Escondido, CA has no problem charging a 15% premium over MSRP plus close to $2,000 in unwanted dealer installed options on all MCS’ they sell (10% on a MC plus unwanted options) pushing their profit margin to that of a 5 series BMW but they do not offer loaners to any MINI buyers, only BMW. The first time they had my car for an electrical repair was for 11 days and no loaner. When I had to take the car back because they failed to repair the problem (even after having had the car for such a long time) I did get a loaner but only because they had screwed up again and ordered the wrong parts. This time they had the car for “only” three days. The bad news, they once again failed to fully rectify the problem. It could be just me, but I see a two tiered level of service between MINI and BMW customers. I get a service loaner on my BMW's every time I make a service visit (scheduled or unscheduled) at BMW of San Diego, no questions asked.
