That's a tailgate bumper. There is one on each side of the tailgate.
They are used to set the position of the tailgate so it sits correctly. Well, that's what they are for on most cars but on the MINI they are generally used to try and stop your tailgate lock rattling !!! |

It's obviously the Beer Bottle cap stowage pin. Duh! One presses the cap one has removed onto the rubber thing thing to remind oneself that the beer should be replaced. There are two since one should never drink alone.
