Does anyone know whether 04 MC's CVT has synthetic oil or not?

I called a dealer to schedule CVT oil change but when I told them I have 56K miles on it, he said I don't need to do it since it has Synthetic oil.
To make sure i called another dealer, only to hear that I have to do it every 30K miles!
Now i am confused.

any input is greatly appreciated!

 

It is so troblesome, most are doing much more often than recomended from what I have heard. You can only buy it from mini last I heard, and in bulk. Some nicer dealers will sell it to you if you bring a jug or two. But from what I hear it is $$$.

 

The fluid used in the CVT is ESSO EZL-799.

 

I bought 20 liters of this fluid and can sell you some - payment via PayPal. I'm asking $20/quart and I can sell 4, 4.5 or 5 quarts at a time. The recommended change amount is 4.5 quarts. If you are not too far away, I'll eat the shipping (UPS or USPS ground), otherwise add a few dollars. The transmission maker ZDF originally said every 36K miles. Now Mini says 30K miles. Better safe than sorry. It's not hard to change, especially if you fill it from the top by taking out the battery box.
