Did ALTA give up on Gen 1 MINI's?

They have no intercoolers, no exhausts, no 'new' mods for quite some time. Does anyone know what is happening with them and parts for the R53/50/52?

Maybe they are reworking their line-up. But there's only so much they can do. Why pay $800 for an IC when the stock or GP works fine.(if you can find one) Their air diverter with sprayer is all you need. Exhaust, there are numerous companies on the scene. I prefer the 2 muffler systems (milltek, stratmosphere, borla..etc)

They make a great intake and pulley!!

It would not be surprising to see them stop, or at least slow development down dramatically. (The simple fact that aftermarket performance aftermarket parts have been in a huge nosedive for the last 4 years or so does not help!)

The R53/50/52 market is getting smaller everyday....between just simple attrition, and the simple fact that many cars have already been modded...it is a shrinking market....and most of the simple cost effective mods were created, and sold long ago....so a rapidly declining profit potential......

If you are looking for a V2 Alta intercooler, Pete at M7 had one for sale in the Vendor Market place ad that he took in as trade for one of his DFIC's.

Or you could check out the lastest intercooler equipment offered by DOS = Defenders of Speed. Clint has some pretty cool stuff in that area as well.
