At first my ED was 10/15. The car did not get into port until 10/14, so 10/15 was not going to work. I talked to my dealer and he said the car was going to be shipped on 10/21 from LA to SLC. He told me that I would get my car by the end of the month. I checked the OL again and my ED had chagned to 10/23. Out of curiousity I checked my ED again last night and it had changed again, now to 10/21. My MA told me that my car would have priority since with was a pre-sold vehicle. So, how accurate is this 10/21 or 10/23 date? Thanks in advance.

What ever you do, do not hold your breath!

I did't get mine until almost 4 weeks to the day from when it landed. I'm only a couple hundred miles from the port! NJ to Boston!

But, then again, I was dealing with Herb Chambers (rated worst MINI dealer in the country).

Good Luck!

Not very accurate. Best thing you can do is research the transport from the uk to us and follow that. Not sure on a link. But do a search for "boat" or...

My EDD STILL shows as 10/15, so I consider anything in the Owner's Lounge completely worthless. I don't know why they bother with this info since it's never right anyway. I also think the "pre-sold vehicle so it's priority" line is a crock too, since most of the cars are presold. My MA told me 7-10 days after the car hits the VPC until I get it in Denver. I'd think SLC is probably the same time period, maybe a day or two shorter. I was counting on this Saturday being the worst-case scenario, but now it looks like that may be the best-case.

It gets really depressing when I read about all of our fellow "Can't Wait for October" club members driving their new cars.

Here's the site to track your car through the shipping company Wallenius Wilhelmsen: http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/Tool...king/index.jsp

Choose the "Auto" link and enter your VIN# and it should tell you which ship you're on, when it arrives, etc.

The Owner's Lounge is well behind reality. I found all my tracking info from 866-ASK-MINI and the Can't Wait 4 November thread.

I tracked my car the whole time it was on the ship. It got into port on the 14th of October. Now it is at the distribtution center. Only a few more days...maybe weeks knowing my luck.

Quite frankly I drove my Mini home and it was still listed at distribution center.

I think the system sucks.

Many folks here are able to assist you better.

As I stated b4, Mark ought to be absorbed to run MCO as the owners lounge. I bet it would work then.
