Here we are at the Historic Crater Lake Lodge

Reference my earlier information request… August Road Trip from Northern California to the Great Pacific North West. I wanted to thank all the fellow MCO members for their invaluable input/suggestions. I only wished that I had time to incorporate all the suggested highlights. We did make the ride north from Carson (WA) and enjoyed seeing Mt. St. Helens from its east slope, but sorry we bypassed the McKenzie Highway (sounds Cool). Oh well, have to go back again some time. Of interest to us MINI Maniacs - 2500 plus miles and only four other MINI sightings. We shared the Port Townsend Ferry with a blue Cooper. We both found out that… yes, a rocking boat will set off the alarm. We were behind an “S” while southbound on 101 somewhere north of Aberdeen, and got a nice wave from a yellow Cooper (nice bonnet stripes) near the mouth of the Columbia River. While walking around Victoria B.C., I spotted a ratty (but pretty cool looking) classic MINI. More details (and photos) available at mySummer 2003 Homepage Newsletter.
