What's the coldest temp seen?

So on the drive into work today the display was showing -12. Whats the coldest temp you have seen in your Mini!

Professor Jan 15, 2009 09:51 AM

14 so far and the car hated it! My traction control and TPM light kept coming on and the car kept bogging like the traction control was on. I had turned it off.

Basically my Mini hates the cold.

Vermont

Zero today in south Burlington.

nabeshin Jan 15, 2009 11:23 AM

The lowest I've seen this winter was -20ºC

fentos Jan 15, 2009 12:17 PM

I'll let you know tomorrow! Supposed to be well in the (-)'s tomorrow morning.

Btwyx Jan 15, 2009 01:20 PM

I've seen it down to 37 once, it dinged at me.

DejaVu Jan 15, 2009 01:46 PM

bart5467 Jan 15, 2009 01:48 PM

lee06mcs Jan 15, 2009 01:56 PM

Mine said 9 this morning. :)

cristo Jan 15, 2009 02:53 PM

If you unplug the sensor, it'll read -40.

NightFlyR Jan 15, 2009 03:09 PM

I guess my car is different I saw 10 degrees on the nav panel this morning and the car ran just fine, No issues starting it and it feels very strong with the colder air. All I can say is i am glad I have heated seats, tomorrow is suppose to be near zero.

miniman101 Jan 15, 2009 03:21 PM

I am glad my Mini is put away right now, but if I would have been out driving this morning at 7:00AM it would have said -39 degrees.

Its cold here in MN!!

Duck360198 Jan 15, 2009 06:35 PM

well if my MINI was back home in South Dakota, it would have read -39. That was apparently the low today. I checked what it was on my lunch break and it was up to a balmy -33.

Professor Jan 15, 2009 10:58 PM

Was 5 when I left work tonight and the car does the same BS. Track light flashes for like 2 miles then stays on along with the TPM.
Stupid cold.

AKIndiMini Jan 16, 2009 12:16 AM

So far, this year I've seen 0*F.

dustinhxc Jan 16, 2009 02:14 AM

-17 here in MN last night even though it was -40 with windchill!!!!!!!!!! ;o

ravenofskys Jan 16, 2009 04:20 AM

It is soo cold in Pa right now. Today it will be below zero. My MINI HATES the cold and I have to warm her up good in this weather. Lowest I have seen is zero.

03BRG Jan 16, 2009 04:41 AM

-14 today and no problems with the Mini in the cold. We need a grill badge for the "Ice House Minis" for the folks that are motoring in the frozen tundra!

MCS06 Jan 16, 2009 04:47 AM

Saw -12 this morning in southern NH. Stinkin' cold weather!! :eek2:

DMAC57 Jan 16, 2009 06:02 AM

-21 this morning and my RFTs are squared. Took about two miles to get a smooth ride. TPM is lit and I have nitro filled tires....I thought nitro was impervious to cold temps.

kaszeta Jan 16, 2009 06:18 AM

-24 this morning. I couldn't get the MINI started :(

Interesting in that this (-40) is the only temperature where the Fahrenheit and Celsius scales are identical. Coincidence?

Woe to those whose MINI displays actually displayed this for real this morning.  It was only -32F here...

Xiek Jan 16, 2009 06:29 AM

-33ºC the other day. Most of the week has been that cold up here anyways. Don't forget to add the WINDCHILL too.
