I picked up my Chili Red S with premuim and sport package sunroof included topped off with a Chile Red top and black mirrors. I love it, by the way I nearly got ran over by a guy in a new beatle staring.

 

Just got my MCS Chili red, white roof/mirrors/bonnet stripes on Thursday last week. This car makes people, including me, smile!

Red S with premium and DSC, white top and stripes.

People stare at me in the streets. A few days ago, two guys at an intersection pulled up perpendicular to the car and just stopped, blocking trafic! I;m seeing people pull up at red lights past my hood to take a look.

She's a real beaut, a hoot to drive, but not without her problems.

 

Yeah, you do have to get used to the stares... but the honking and people yelling is a bit unnerving. At first, I thought I had run over someone or something, then I realized that it was just people excited to see a Mini.

It is pretty cool to watch people look the car over. Even the most dour looking person breaks into a smile when they start looking at the car. I get a kick out of the older guys grabbing their wife to come over for a second look and most of the time they are excitedly telling about their first ride in a MINI in their youth.

I've started leaving the windows down and just setting the alarm on the car if I'm not going far from where it is parked. Cuts down on the nose and finger prints.

I'm starting to get sick of the attention my car gets some times... I'm sick and tired of people driving fast to get around me, then driving slow when they get in front of me, or they just trail me for no reason. Yesterday, I was trying to change lanes from the middle lane to the right lane. I slowed down, because there was more room behind the car that was in the right lane then in front of it. But as I was slowing down, the idiot in the right lane slowed down at exactally the same rate... so I had to cut in front of them... just freakin drive people...

I will probably try to shoot a few pics monday, I teach high school TV class and I have been telling my kids about the mini (a few were begining to doubt me because of the long wait), they will be very excited to see it.
