Coolant system bleed?

So I was in the archives investigating a strange noise I've been noticing on occasion, and it would seem I may have air in my cooling system (I get a lot of sloshing-type noise behind the dash at certain times). I'm thinking I'd rather just bleed it myself rather than running down to MINI and wasting their time... Can anyone highlight how to accomplish this properly?

There are a couple of bleed screws interspersed around the engine. An obvious on is on the large coolant hose that sits in front and beneath the IC, looks like a big old Philips head. I dont have my Bentley manual with me so I cant help much beyond that.

Not to go TOTALLY off topic in my own thread, but I noticed the UCONN FSAE bit in your sig... Are you out here at Storrs campus?

And back on topic... So I'm guessing I open one or more bleeder valve, then start the engine to circulate fluid and thus force out any air? I know I sound like a total n00b, but the only coolant system I've ever bled had no bleeders, so I just ran the engine for a bit w/ the rad cap off. I can only guess bleeders do the same thing but in remote locations...

Z06C5R ...that is one helluva' tasty Z car!

I spent a lot of time in a 240 in high school (1976). Awesome car. It's a shame what became of it. The 280 was so lame in comparison.

I know, right? Heavy heavy heavy, and laden with emissions crap!

Ah but what a pair the 240 and the MCS make - Two hugely different cars: The MINI is my multi-talented little wonder-kart, while the Z is this awesomely raw, primal sports car. Oh how I love them both! That 944 on the other hand...

I'm so off topic today  Getting back to business:

Based on the NEMINI link, it looks like I just need to open alternating bleeder caps with the engine running, since the system is already full... Right?
