well when ever the light is not on, and fresh air is coming in, it is fairly hot air, so like the last couple of days where it was rainging and the temp was fairly decent outside i had my windows up and the vents where pushing out hot air. so i had to keep turning on the A/C to defog everything, kinda annoys me.

When you want only outside air,you have to turn the temperature control down. The reason you feel hot air coming from the vents is because the system is attempting to keep the cabin at the temperature you have selected, fan speed as well as recirculate selection have no bearing on what air temperature comes form the vents. What this all adds up to is, if you want ambient air to come into the car, turn off the compressor, turn off the recirculate and turn the temperature setting as low as it will go. I must add that this is true for my 2002 car with auto temp control, later years I am not sure about.
