r53 exhaust output cfm's?

so i had to get different mufflers on my custom exhaust (cops didnt like it)lol. so i went to a local muffler shop and told the guy to give me the quietest and most free flowing mufflers he had. and so he was like " ill put some superturbo's on " i said cool.

well he welds them on and my car is really quiet. kinda nice actually. but when i got home i noticed that he only put 2" mufflers on my 2 1/2" piping so now im like wtf!!!!

i get online and the mufflers are rated for about 400 cfm a piece. but i dont know what the mini puts out. i want as little backpressure as possible of course. what do you experts think.

should i worry about the exhaust or do you think i am good, i took out 2 90's per side wich i know will reduce the backpressure . but the 2" mufflers worry me

thanks
chris

Why would you want as little backpressure as possible?

You need a "balance" of backpressure. Otherwise you'll start having issues with starting the car.

Exactly...

A 1.6L engine at 6000 RPM will theoretically expel 168 CFM of air. Of course, that's for a naturally-aspirated engine - the supercharger will bump that up a little bit, but if the mufflers are good for up to 400 CFM, it sounds like they'll be adequate.

This is going to open the "Pandora's box". In reality 2 inch mufflers should be good for a daily driven Mini very good. You may notice an improvement in throttle response, gas millage and overall driveability. Bigger is NOT always better. And if I read correctly you got 2 so that means a total of 800 cfm ?
