My 06 MCS is coming up for the free dealer oil change and I was wondering if during this service if they will reflash my ecu? I have a RMW custom tune and don't want them to erase it. I also wondering if I ask the dealer not to touch the ecu if that will open up a can of worms regarding my warranty. BTW I'm going to Long Beach Mini for service.

 

if all theyre doing is an oil change they shouldnt even look at the ecu unless you say there is another problem

 

That's why I change my own oil. It's a hassle and takes about half a day by the time I drive an hour one way, wait for it to be finished and then drive home.

 

Judging by the looks of the oil drain plug on my car, which was serviced only by the dealer local to me prior to me buying it, they must be the training ground for Jiffy Lube monkeys. They ain't gettin their greasy mits on my Mini anymore.
