Since I got back to the States, I've done a couple of thousand miles of highway driving. And pretty much all of it has been in the 72 or 73 mph range. After all those years in Germany, I've also been religious about throwing it into 6th and putting on the cruise control. Also, I'm running with a 15% pulley.

The result? 30.9 on the highway. If it's night and cold and the AC is also off, it might sneak up a peak beyond that, but not by much. Even running through near-100 degree heat with the AC set on 66 (and feeling like 66) still gets me almost 31 mpg.

So, there you have it. Up a lot from the 23 to 25 I was getting on the autobahn, but to be fair, I tended to run at very close to twice that average speed WAAAAY too often.
