I've noticed that when I turn off the car, and take the key out of the ignition, the MINI dings a different number of times. Sometimes doesnt ding at all, other times its once, twice, three, or five times. What is the meaning behind this??

alien mind control? sorry I don't know. Mine seems to only ding when the lights are left on

 

I know that I have got getting out of a car quickly
so fast that I can turn off the light unbuckle my seatbelt and open the door
all while turning off the car
all of the above can make the car ding
so if you are at all like me in one of the afore mentioned ways
then that would be why

if i'm not mistaken, the car will ding if you open the door while the key is still in or even close to the ignition switch. it shouldn't ding at all if you move the key away from the switch before opening the door (providing the lights are off).
