I'm in love with a wonderful CAR!!!
Picked Monty up yesterday afternoon and, WOW, is this a nice car. All went well at the dealership. Phil, our MA, showed us how everthing worked, and we motored off into the sunset to find someplace to eat. We had neither one had lunch and it was 3:30 so we were starving. While we were in the restaurant the worst storm I have ever seen, short of a hurricane hit the county. What a mess! Power out all over the place, trees down, debris in the roads. When we finally managed to escape the restaurant traffic was backed up all over the place so we just kind of made our way slowly onto some back roads. My husband was telling me to turn here, turn there...finally he said to pull into a parking place. I couldn't understand why until I saw the Harley Davidson sign. Geesh! He gets me the car I want so now he thinks I'm going to OK him getting a bike  I was nice and looked around while he asked a bazillion questions and sat on a few of the bikes. It became obvious, since he knew several of the salespeople by name, that he had been there before. He signed up for lessons and I could see the gears just spinning in his brain. I told him I didn't mind as long as he didn't expect me to get on it. heehee! He says he'll just use it for commuting to work on nice days - yeah, right. Anyway, it's not going to be happening soon, but it looks like a definite possibility. When he finished drooling over the bikes we hopped in Monty again but, boohoo, the traffic was still in a snarl so we headed home. When we got there I said I wanted to drive around some back roads in our area for a while - lots of twisties, minor ones but still twisties. He told me to have fun and be careful. What a sweetie. I put down the windows, opened the sunroof, put some oldies on the radio and off I went. The air had cooled from the storm and there was mist coming up off the roads. I was in 7th Heaven. Aaaaaah. That's more like it. Laurie |

>> That sounds about fair! Glad to hear he's signed up for some lessons. The MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) rider courses are worth a lot more than the 10% insurance discount that he'd get! Now, as for climbing on the back, don't knock it until you try it. And besides, other than the Mini, you won't find a vehicle out there that holds its value as well as a Harley! Motor (and Ride) Safe, Kev  _________________ She let's me drive her MCS (which is good, cause I gave it to her as a wedding present)!!! Our Baby? - she's an 03 Elect Blue (white roof/wheels) MCS, w/ all the toys (premium, cold, h/k, Nav, xenon, fogs etc) ! |

Congrats!!!!!   ANd a Harley?!?!?!!!!! Cool! |
Man I envy you people who live near curvy roads! Here in suburbia I have to drive at least 20 minutes, or better yet, 40 minutes to get to a real windy road. All my neighborhood roads are perfectly straight, unless I want to hot rod it through a housing tract! I'm seriously going to consider the quality of the roads when I move!
