My DS/B MCS arrived at the dealer here in Germany on 29 Aug, and I took delivery on the 30th. The car exceeded my expectations in every way. I travel a 10 mile road with over 70 curves, and the first drive home was simply spectacular. Today, I took her out on her first trip on the autobahn. It was difficult keeping within the limits for the break-in period (most of the autobahn does not have a speed limit).

300 miles in two days. I figure that by the end of next weekend, I will be able to motor full tilt. Pics are posted in the members gallery pg 42 (cooper_1 - cooper_5a)

Gotta love this car!!

Congratulations Kevin!!!! It's beautiful of course! So, have you decided yet... boy or girl... name? A nice German name perhaps? You lucky kdog, you- the autobahn already? Will it be coming home to the states some day? Have a great time with your MCS out there.

Motor On!

Congrats KDog!

You are so LUCKY to have the Autobahn right there.....I would LOVE to try that out......
What with the max speed limits here being 60mph (yeah like I really obey that one on a regular basis )

Have a blast! Your MINI is beautiful!

Cheers!

Have not decided on a name yet, but definitely a she. We'll be coming back to the states in just over a year. It is a thrill on the autobahn, so far nothing over 90 MPH though.

Congrats Kdog! I fell in love with the old Mini's during my tour in Germany, but wouldn't bring anything home that wouldn't meet US specs. What a joyful shock to discover the new Mini last year. I wish I could take Tabby back to Germany and go through the back roads through all the curves and switchbacks! I do envy you, enjoy and tell us all about it!
