Stock Dyno

Hey, well as I had nothing to really do today, I decided to call up a local dyno and see what my Mini put down.

My car is completely stock, absolutely nothing done to it. The dyno operator was having some issues though correcting it for altitude and pressure/temperature. It read as high as 171 and low as the upper 130s! Quite a range but appearantly after calling the dyno company this correction made it right??? Anyway, I thought I'd throw up the graph for you guys to check out.

it would be the whp, not rwhp, as the MINI's are not rear wheel drive.

those numbers looks about right from what I have read on here. Was this a dynojet or a mustang dyno? I'm assuming from your readings that it was a dynojet.

Do you pay to have air/fuel ratio done as well? What did the dyno time cost you?

I believe the rw in rwhp he meant was real world not rear wheel. Real world meaning that the number posted was the actual measurement of torque/hp at the wheels and not a number derived from the wheel torque/hp and augmented by a correction factor.

rwhp always means REAR wheel hp, fwhp is front wheel hp, and awhp is all wheel hp, bhp is brake hp which is the same as hp at the flywheel.

My reading was on a dynojet, and it was fwhp...2 runs and wideband is included $60

2 runs and wideband included for $60 is an awesome price. I can't get anyone around here to touch it for that price.

i do know that the LSD makes you lose a percentage of whp while making it possible to actually use that power during cornering, so thats pretty sweet for a stock engine!

The car was completely stock at the time no LSD. I still don't have my LSD in. But like I mentioned in the first post the dyno operator did really seem to know what he was doing. I don't know how acurate those numbers are...I was basically posting to see if that is typical of an 05 MCS. The guy was asking how much bhp the car makes and how much I was expecting...and wha la, there it was. Next dyno my car with see will be with Jan tuning it hopefully that and his cam will get me to break 200!
