I picked two small dents on my bonnet from some flying road debris last weekend.

A friend recommended a paintless small dent removal process from a shop who had repaired a ding in his Mercedes. Anyone had any experience with this type of dent repair?

I just had it done 2 weeks ago at my dealer for a baseball dent in my driver's door. Came out perfect.

When we had our BMW dealership we used paintless dent repair on both our new and used automobiles. A good dent remover can take away the dent and you never knew it was there. They must be able to get behind the dent, so some dents, especially on the hood and trunk do not allow access due to structural reinforcement or easy access as on the top and these must be sent to a body shop.

when i got my first mini.. i picked it up from the dealer with two dents on the hood of the car, similar to yours. they took them out no charge of course... but afterwards it looked great.. like they weren't even there! paintless dent is EXPENSIVE though... good luck to you.

I think paintless dent repair is the cheapest option, actually... The only other way I know to fix dents is with a knock-down-drag-out-bang-em-out-and-repaint job. And that's a couple hundred at least. My paintless was $60, total.

I had 3 mondo door dings removed by a guy recommended by my dealership. He met me in a parking lot and took them right out--beautiful. The only problem (and it has nothing to do with the repair) is that there were also scratches from the nincompoops who slammed their doors into mine. So now I have small scratches instead of dents. What's a girl to do? *sigh*

Thanks everyone.

I took my MINI to a shop that a friend had used and arrived to a shop with 2 mercedes and a BMW already lined up. They quoted $85.00 to fix both dents. I willl probably take it in next week.

Thanks again,

Andy

That sounds high. I was paying $50.00 per panel, regardless of the number of dents and $150.00 to do the complete car, again no limit on the number of dents and must add that I have never seen hail damage in SoCal so the number of dents was not that high, and these were cars going on the front line of a high line store. Now granted this was the cost to the dealer, but the same service I used would repair customers cars and the price was not that much higher for the retail consumer.
