i don't like leather or pleather-ette whatever you call it.
cloth works fine for me, i haven't seen an interior yet, since everyone in CA gets leather - i have no idea why.
i've had cloth in my jetta's for years and no problems. my jetta now has dark grey and it's a bit dark and shows lint, but that is it -- it doesn't ever look dirty, but then again, i'm pretty clean about my car. i'm one of "those" people.

I like the space cloth, personally. Good colour contrast to the black bolsters, looks/feels durable. The only reason I am not getting it is the long-term stain/dirt/crumb factor. I just think the Leatherette will be easier to keep clean. I'll have seat covers on at least the front seats from day one, anyway. I have a dirtry job.

I have the space cloth and I am really glad I ordered it that way......leather drives me nuts....nothing like getting stuck to your seats in extremely HUMID Baltimore summers.....
I really think I like the cloth more and more every time I get in my Mini.....it goes really well with the color scheme.

I'm a little concerned with what I ordered myself. I was bent on having black leather interior in the Pure Silver/Black Cooper. Unfortunately, if you want black leather in the cooper you have to get the "dimpled leather" as my dealer called it. I wonder how it's going to look/feel?? I guess I'll find out soon.
Anyone else have this option? or sat in one with it?

Hi Blimey,
I originally ordered the panther black leather without looking and sitting in it first. I went to the dealership yesterday to look at it and didn't like it at all! The "dimples" look strange, I don't know why they even put those on! Its's such a strange texture! I sat in another Cooper with leatherette and liked those MUCH better, looks-wise. The leatherette is also more "grippy", so it feels like it'll hold me in my seat! Durability wise, I have had leather in my last two cars and they crack after a while (I stopped the high maintenance leather conditioning after the initial new car buzz wore off, though), so I am going to give the leatherette a try. They feel the same to me when I sat in the both the leather and leatherette.
