A couple nights ago I was at a light and a guy leans over to roll down his window, I turn down my stereo and he says.. "Is that a MINI Copper?"
I said, "Yes, it is." Then he smirks and rolls his window back up.

Funny thing is that he was in some ricer that was white on the front then fire faded to green in the back. And yes... He DID have some retarded spoiler on the back.

Light went green... Bye-bye.

I don't think I'm better/faster than anyone, I just enjoy these moments.

Whats funny is that I can see how you rated all the comments! Too funny! You gave the one chick a thumbs up who said she loves the car... Thumbs down for all the others.

Ya well, don't you think the others rates a thumbs down?

They're great. I ignore Honda's unless I spy an intercooler or hear an obvious motor-swap. I had to see how fast a Hemi Magnum was though, turns out, not very.

I personally think that people who owns a MINI has a better sense of style. People just don't understand...

I was at a stop light at a road with a lot of twists once on a rainy day. This honda civic pulled up next to me. The guy was obviously a ricer with his double fart canon, and a boeing 747 wing. He looked over and smirked at me and shook his head. The light turned green, and I was down the next block while his tires were still trying to get some traction. =]

My favorite:

At the Pittsburgh Vintage Brand Prix this year, we had a parade of EIGHTY FIVE Minis coming into Schenley Park.... at about 3MPH. Windows open, we're hearing everything. Pot bellied guinea-T shirt guy next to large busty t-shirted blonde is watching from close by. I'm maybe 5th in this lo-ong line when he starts up. As he's about at my front bumper, he says (holding his fingers "this" far apart) "Minis - they're for 'little' men."

Me: "No, they're for "big" men. We have no NEED to compensate."

His girlfriend to him: "HYAAAAH, he got YOUuuuu!!!!"

(note: thanks to this site for providing my brain with the ammo to quickly say what, on NAM, is a cliche - but in the "real world" still seemed pretty funny)

If anything we are the most secure with who we are. There are guys out there who drive monster trucks who are 5ft nothing!!! Are they trying to compensate for something? I love my MINI and i'm not worried about what other people have to say about it. I make my money and i can spend it any way i want! People are real tough when they are driving 50mph. I want someone to walk right up to me and tell me my car is gay. IGKSRTFO, if you know what i mean.
