 Yes its true, basically I have been looking at getting the Mini S for at least 3 months, but need to sell my car first. Less than a month ago my stepdad got a new Black Corvette Convertible. But he commutes 80 miles to work each way 5 days a week and doesn't want to put so many miles on the vette. The only other car we had was a 1990 jeep wrangler thats not great for highway commuting at ALL. So we went to South Motors Mini in Miami and traded in the Jeep for a Mini Cooper S. Light silver, black and blue leather, 17" sport wheels, sunroof, and thats about it i think. There was a $2500 dollar dealer add-on for the CD changer, floormats, and a couple other little things. We got that markup down to $1500. Not a bad deal, but still kind of a rip. Anyway, the car is now in my driveway covered by my 97' gti car cover which fits almost perfect except its a little to long in the front. Has a hole for the antenna that lines up too. Pictures will soon come. My stepdad is going out of town tomorrow for 4 days so I will be breaking in the Mini alot and making sure it is definitely the car I want to replace my beloved VR6. I'll start another post with a little review of my impressions so far and later will post in the review section. Oh, and the leather is alot more comfy and supportive than the standard seats. Too bad a can't afford it in my mini. I really wish i could go buy a mini S that's currently available for $21,500 in my area but i can't yet. It's Electric blue with almost NO options. Thats with a $1275 dealer markup too so its definitely in my price range.

Cheers! Clover  |
I could order one, but It could come in and i may not have my car sold. I think that deposit is refundable or at least good towards another Mini, so i could just do that. The problem is, the dealers with no markup (actually there's only one in my area) have really long waiting lists. So its not that simple.
