4 17x7.5 wheels (no tires) and 4 215/45-17 tires (unmounted). It was a squeeze and the guys at the tire shop were scratching their heads... but it was awesome!

4 Full Army Duffles, 1 Foot locker, a large bug out bag, and a medium sized laptop bag. Possibly about to do this again, for another 10+ hour trip, yay me.

Where do you windsurf? Heading to Maui in May for a few weeks to sail.

Never been bothered by cold or sharks. I've got very sweet launches within 10 minutes of where I live and where I work. I guess I need to get to Maui someday, but it is pretty amazing here during the season.

My previous record was a 32" TV in box. Last year was an 8' Norway Pine for Christmas (onlookers staring like they were watching a John Holmes movie: ...there's no way that's all gonna' fit...)

After seeing some of these posts, though, I am very impressed.

The most people I've had in my MINI is 5. The car felt so heavy.

I am jealous...sailing in Colorado or anywhere near is a sit-and-wait affair

Sorry no pictures but I went to my moms for Thanksgiving and I drove, my wife in the passenger, two teenagers in the back, 3 pies, large onion dip, 2 bags of chips, some drinks, orange juice and champange, etc. etc. No problems but I wasn't in my most comfortable driving position.

I think my max was coming home from thanksgiving this past weekend:
  • Large Craftsman ratchet set
  • Canvas bag full of tools (about 1'x1'x3')
  • clothes basket (1.25'x1.25'x3')
  • golf bag
  • stack of clothes on hangers about a foot deep
  • potted plant
  • 2 pair of shoes
  • Trashbag with my Wii, wires, controllers, and games
  • Camera bag
  • Backpack
  • Small shopping bag with my sisters' Christmas presents and my allergy medicine in it
  • Heavy jacket
I know I'm forgetting something(s). The passenger seat held my backpack and the passenger floorboard had the plant.

Not possible in a cabrio.
Are you kidding? I'll wager that a top-down cabrio has much more capability to carry windsurf boards.

I will borrow, as an example, a pic from the thread I already linked on the first page to this thread (and this is with 2 people still sitting up front):
