ficcion (kelly) and I are in today's Denver Post!

We were interviewed by William Porter, of the Denver Post, last week for an article on the return of MINI to the United States. The next day Helen Richardson came out and took the photographs of me with my MINI Cooper S. Today it's in the paper and on the website - see link below.

Denver Post article: MIGHTY MINI

This picture is on the Front of "The Scene" (lifestyle section) and it's *way* bigger in the printed version of the paper.

The coolest part is that Schomp MINI here in Denver is actually responsible for getting my name to the writer. As this article mentions, I bought my car in New York (from our beloved MINIQUEEN). So thanks to them for thinking of me as a current MINI owner that should be interviewed.

Lori: Your copy will be mailed today.

Cool! Nice article, glad your enjoying the ride!

Nice

Only one factual error I spotted in the article. The article said that the MINI used in Austin Powers was a Cooper S model, when in reality it was a Cooper model.

Actually it is an S but hey put a regular Cooper hood on it, Submarine mode doesn't work very well with the scoop.

I don't think so, the Cooper hood won't fit on the S due to the increased height of the S engine (intercooler). That's why they had to change the curvature on the hood in the first place for the S.

YES! YES! YES! The Mighty Mite strikes again.

I really have to thank Helen Richardson for that photo. It makes me look like I'm taller than my usual 5' 7"

ficcion Aug 22, 2002 06:35 PM

Hey where's my photo???

The red S would have looked nice next to that dark silver...

dave Aug 22, 2002 09:50 PM

Kelly, I totally agree. The Red/White and Dark Silver/White need to be photo'd together (maybe when we do the Intake stuff. BTW, I got it today and installed it. Very simple. I haven't started the car yet though... have to save that for morning.)
